AH! Wordpress! It is such a wonderful and efficient blogger. It's neat and theres so many hacks and tricks for it that you'd love to customize it!
It is a bit hard to skin with but its fairly straight forward. I dont have a tutorial on it but I'm sure you can find it on google! Well lets start the tutorial:
1. First upload all your files to your website. If you want a pretty theme then download one from somewhere like
BabyDoll and then upload it in you
wp-content>themes>. make a new folder for it though. If the things you upload are in folders you upload them in folders or they won't work!
2. Next you open wp-config-sample.php and answer the DB_NAME and DB_USER and DB_PASSWORD. (You will have to ask your host for you mysql database or if you bought a domain then you will have to make your own.
3. After you've done that you will have to rename wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php
4.Now you have to run wordpress with this url:
http://www.YOURSITENAME.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
5. If you installed Wordpress in your root directory then go here:
http://www.YOURSITENAME.com/wp-admin/install.php
6. If you installed it in your own directory, for example, bloggey, then you would go to:
http://www.YOURSITENAME.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php
7. If you see a box with WORDPRESS written on it and then a link with NEXT STEP on it then you have succesfully installed Wordpress! :)
