Ok...Iframes! Ugh! Just hearing that name gives you the shivers, right? WRONG! Iframes are
SOOOOOOOO easy! Believe me because I am sooooo crap at coding so you'd obviously understand it
in like a second! lol Ok so lets start!
Ok so first we need to know what exactly IS an iframe! Iframes are little frames of text that you can place anywhere but they are a whole different page! So the
index.html page will hold EVERYTHING together. It's like the root of your website. In your index.html page put this code:
Ok so thats just a normal HTML document. Now erase the part that says
DON'T DO ANYTHING HERE and replace it with this code:
Thats your Iframe code! Change the CAPS to your likings and voila! Thats your
index.html oage. Of course you can have more than one iframe like one for the
content,
sidebar and maybe something else! Now you make all your other pages but thats all normal documents. No iframe codes in there! So if you were making a
you.html page then this will be your code inside it:
And thats what would be in all your pages! Sooooo simple! But there may be some cinfusion in links...
Links
In iframes if you link another site with a code like this:
BLAH
Then the person's site would appear INSIDE the iframe! So if you wanted to link to another site it would have to come up as a pop-up like this:
BLAH
Thats all! And if you wanted something that was in your site to come up inside the frame you just do a normal link. I hope you understand!
